Hi everybody! Ha nobody reads this, I know because my Mom doesn't even read it. So anyway I have redone my site!! Now that it no longer looks lame, I will try to update my blog, and maybe get people to read it. Maybe. So I am in the process of putting content on all my pages, so bear with me imaginary readers. Anyway, I hope it'll look amazing when it's done, and I hope I'll use it.

Hello from Cambridge

We've been in Cambridge for a couple of weeks now, and are settling in well. Our Poland trip was pretty good, but was a bit rainy. Here are a few pictures.

Our flat in Cambridge is pretty good, and food wise is alright. Francois tried marmite flavoured chips(crisps) which he likes. I think they are incredibly gross. Oh, i have a sample sized marmite that I will mail to anybody who will eat it. Most of the crisp flavours here are weird, the funniest: Prawn Cocktail. We have started collecting, photographing and eating al of the cool British chocolate bars, and I should have that up starting soon. We are still hoping to come home for Christmas, so we can take some requests.

Bull Run and other things

Yesterday François and I went to a bull run in a nearby village. The goal of the run is to get the small things off of the bull's head without dying. It was quite entertaining. Here are some pictures, more are on my Facebook.

Rain, Rain...

So today is the second day that it has been raining. The temperature has gone down to 24 degrees, but that is how cool it gets every night. It is very humid now. Would somebody mind informing my mom that her mail box is over the maximum allowable size, and it's not my fault she can not receive any email. Also, I haven't been able to confirm my dad's email, does anybody know it? So nothing really exciting has been happening in the last few days, although we were surprised to find cheese slices in a grocery store, just down the road. That's right, the fake plastic kind, so we made cheese burgers. So I guess my life is pretty boring at the moment. Look forward to hearing from you, Heather

Yesterday...

Yesterday night François and I wanted to go somewhere for supper. so we walked further into Castelnau because apparently there are some restaurants there. There were, but they were closed at supper time on a tuesday. Go figure. we walked home and drove into Montpellier to les 3 brasseurs it was pretty good. François spilled the apéritifs everywhere though, so i was all sticky. but the food was good. Today we are going to the river for a picnic for lunch and probably the beach for a picnic for supper. François' parents and little brother are going on vacation on Saturday, leaving us and his big brother here. i would like to point out now, that if you comment on a blog entry I will try to respond. Unless it is spam. Update for today: it was a pretty small creek, and I slightly blackened the chicken.

First Week in France

I've now finished my first week in Southern France. I just have to say that it's really hot. We bought Popsicles to eat on the way home from the grocery store one day, and they were very soft by the time we left the store. Other than that, I am slightly annoyed at the length of meals here, and some days i wish never to see another vegetable. Especially the night eggplant appeared in the supper. There is alot of fruit here though, which is nice. François and his dad shook the plums out of their plum tree this evening. I have just gotten a new phone number, From Canada dial 01133689288684 or text message. In case there are any misplaced 'q's or semi colons where an 'm' would have been better, I'm going to point out that I'll probably be typing on a french keyboard for awhile. I've been swimming in the Mediteranian a couple of times, and wandered around Montpellier. On the way down here from Paris we drove over the tallest viaduct in the world.
